Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, UK, 28 January 2010 – Chronos Technology, the UK based specialist supplier of synchronisation equipment and solutions to the wireline and wireless telecom operators market, has appointed Ian Smith as Product Manager.

Reporting to Steve Sears, the New Product Development Manager, Ian will be responsible for managing the development and outsourced manufacturing of Chronos’ own range of products.  His duties will include the identification, qualification and contract arrangements with suitable subcontract manufacturing facilities; agreeing and meeting work schedules and managing all aspects of regulatory and environmental approvals for the products.

Ian joins from Kohler Mira and prior to that Rank Xerox where he held various Quality Assurance, Supply Management and Product Management roles over a period of twenty years.   He holds a Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Wales.
